Social distancing and health safety guideline were not maintained in most of the inter-district buses, which left Dhaka from Gabtoli terminal this morning.

However, it was maintained in some local buses.

Social distancing was ignored in the buses, which left the terminal for different destinations, including Manikganj, Rajbari, Faridpur and Aricha and Paturia ferry terminals.

Some of the passengers were seen wearing masks and hand gloves while some were not.

Meanwhile, social distancing was seen maintained in the inter-city buses at Khilgaon, Basabo and Kamalapur in the capital.

Zahidul Islam, assistant police commissioner (traffic west) of Darus Salam Zone, said "Police have been deployed in different points of Dhaka city. Social distancing is not being maintained in some inter-city buses. Those, who do not follow the rules, are being sued. But I cannot tell you how many cases were filed right now, as we get the information in the afternoon or at night."
