Road accidents killed 368 people in June
Compared to May, the number of road accidents increased by 56.14 percent, deaths by 57.34 percent and injuries by 43.82 percent in June
Some 368 people lost their lives in 358 road accidents in June across the country, said Bangladesh Jatri Kalyan Samity.
The accidents also left 518 people injured.
The data was revealed in a report by the transport association's Road Accident Monitoring Cell on Sunday.
The report was prepared by analysing news on accidents published in various newspapers and online media in the country.
Besides, the naval transport sector recorded 45 deaths in 17 accidents during the time and 60 injured while 10 could not be traced after accidents.
Some 15 people were killed and four were injured in 20 railway accidents during the time.
