‘Govt might shut down some places if needed to curb corona spread’
So far 10 people in Bangladesh have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus
The government might put some places under shutdown if it is needed to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus, said Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader.
During a briefing today morning, the minister also said movement of buses could be stopped too.
So far 10 people in Bangladesh have been diagnosed with the novel coronavirus, which believed to be started spreading from China. Three of them have been discharged from the hospital.
Around 43 people are in institutional quarantine, while 16 are isolated at different government hospitals, according to the Institute of Epidemiology, Disease Control and Research (IEDCR).
About 198,004 people around the world have been infected with the deadly virus and 7,948 deaths were reportedly globally till date.
