Govt allows public transports during Eid-ul-Adha
Cargo transportation will be suspended from three days before the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha

Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader said the government has decided to allow public transport to operate during the Eid-ul-Adha.
The minister made the remark at an online media conference from his official residence.
According to the government decision, cargo transportation will be suspended from three days before the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha. However, all the emergency services, transporting sacrificial animals will continue.
Bangladesh Road Transport Authority (BRTA) will inform the details through a circular.
Earlier, the government declared that there will be a three-day holiday for the upcoming Eid-ul-Adha amid the current Covid-19 outbreak.
The Eid-ul-Adha holidays will be from July 31 to August 2 (Friday, Saturday and Sunday) if the Eid is observed on August 1. And, if Eid is observed on July 31 (Friday) then the Eid holidays will be from July 30 to August 1 (Thursday, Friday and Saturday). In both cases, two days of the three-day holidays are weekend holidays.
