The bus services in Khulna city resumed on Friday as the bus drivers and transport workers called off the strike.

Internal-route buses were seen plying on all the roads of Khulna on Friday morning after four days of strike, reports our correspondent.

Long-route buses resumed their services on Thursday evening, which caused a rush of passengers at Sonadanga's Inter District Bus Terminal in Khulna on Friday.

Jakir Hossain Biplob, secretary of the Khulna Motor Workers Union', said, "Buses started leaving for Dhaka from Khulna since Thursday evening as drivers and transport workers withdrew the strike."

President of the same organisation Md Nurul Islam Baby said, "We did not ask the drivers to stop bus services, but they did not listen to us."

Bus drivers and workers went on a strike from Monday demanding amendments to the newly enforced Road Transport Act 2018.
