Bangladesh government has suspended train services across the country from today evening to curb the spread of the novel coronavirus.

Disclosing the matter at a press briefing, Railways Minister Md Nurul Islam Sujon said, "The train communications will remain suspended until further notice. Only goods-laden train will be operated."

Earlier in the day, the government suspended all public transports and inland waterway services to curb the spread of coronavirus.

Bangladesh confirmed four deaths from the novel coronavirus and 39 cases till date.
