Registration for book reading competition Reader's Game 1.0 opens
Country's biggest book reading competition Reader's Game 1.0 is being organised by JCI Dhaka Young with the intention of reinstating the habit of book reading among the young generation and to help them maintain a sound mental health during this pandemic.
Any Bangladeshi citizen within the age range of 18 and 40 can participate in this exciting competition, read a press release.
Registration starts from 1 February and will continue till 26 March. There will be an online test to determine the winners. Participants can register through JCI Dhaka Young's website (www.jcidhakayoung.com) or through the Facebook Event page (Reader's Game 1.0).
The competition boasts a highly acclaimed judging panel including the popular writer and novelist Sadat Hossain. The event has Rokomari.com as its prestigious Book Partner along with Dhaka Tribune as the media partner and Tech Verse Communication as the Creative Partner
Reader's Game 1.0 has a huge pool of prizes including laptops, smartphones, smart watches and other gadgets for the winners. Other than these prizes, everyone scoring higher than 80% will be given a 'Special Mention' e-certificate along with the participation e-certificate, which will be provided to all the participants.
Local President of JCI Dhaka Young, Nazmul Hossain Shobuz mentioned, "Our entire focus is towards building a young generation who understand and appreciate the importance of book reading. We hope, with everyone's cooperation, we will make this competition successful."
The competition's Mastermind and Project Lead, Vice President of JCI Dhaka Young, S M Muqtadirul Huq said, "At present, our youth have lost their interest in books and are becoming heavily addicted and dependent on gadgets. The negative impacts of these are already visible. Hence, we initiated this unique book reading competition and we believe this will develop book reading habits in our young generation again."
The young team, who has been working tirelessly behind the scenes, includes Secretary General Aneeqa Daiyan, Treasurer Mohammad Rofiqul Islam Rumon, General Legal Counsel Rabeya Nasir Ovi and Director Samia Rahman and others.
