Some 59 percent of the total refugee population came in the last two years from August 2017.
Bangladesh is currently hosting total 9.11 lakh refugees entirely from Myanmar, according to the latest report on Bangladesh’s refugee population published by the UNHCR published on Monday.
Of the total refugees, only 4 percent are registered.
Myanmar is the fourth largest source of refugees with 11 lakh population of which almost 83 percent is hosted by Bangladesh.
Bangladesh remained unchanged in its 8th position in world index of major countries hosting refugees in 2018, according to the UNHCR.
Of the total refugees, 16 percent are single mother, which is identified as top most protection vulnerability by the UNHCR.
