President,PM pay rich tributes to martyred intellectuals
President M Abdul Hamid and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on Monday paid rich tributes to the martyred intellectuals by placing wreaths at the Martyred Intellectuals Memorial at Mirpur in the capital on Monday morning, marking the Martyred Intellectuals Day-2020.
On behalf of the President and the Prime Minister, their military secretaries placed the floral wreaths to pay homage to the great heroes of the country.
Besides, the chiefs of three services also paid respect also martyred intellectuals.
The nation observed the Martyred Intellectuals Day on Monday commemorating the intellectuals killed systematically by Pakistan occupation forces and their local collaborators at the fag-end of the Liberation War in 1971.
