Khaleda cannot go abroad for treatment: High Court
The bench of Justice Obaidul Hasan and Justice AKM Zahirul Haque passed the order after scrutinising her latest medical reports.
The High Court today denied permission to BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia to go abroad for advance treatment.
The bench of Justice Obaidul Hasan and Justice AKM Zahirul Haque passed the order after scrutinising her latest medical reports.
"Since the medical board formed for her treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU), has not admitted their incompetence, we cannot permit her to go abroad for treatment," the bench said.
An official of BSMMU delivered Khaleda's medical report in the office of the Registrar General of the Supreme Court yesterday.
Meanwhile, the court is set to pass an order today on a bail petition filed by Khaleda Zia against her imprisonment in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case.
Khaleda has been in prison since February 8, 2018 as she was convicted in two graft cases.
