Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud has said that BNP and their allies can only be seen in the television programmes, they do not stand beside the people.
"They do nothing for the people, their only job is to find the flaws in others," the minister said in programme in Rangunia, Chattogram on Saturday afternoon.
Dr Hasan Mahmud said, "Sometimes they (BNP and allies) are seen in front of the press club in Dhaka, in Naya Paltan for holding press conferences or in Begum Khaleda Zia's political office or they connect with each other virtually from their homes and criticise the government. Otherwise, they cannot be found anywhere in the country."
During the programme, NNK Foundation distributed food items among 2,000 families in Rangunia municipality, Chandraghona, Mariamnagar, Padua and Sreepur-Kharandhip unions.
Officials at the NNK Foundation said the aid support would be extended to 10,000 families gradually.
