The Cabinet Committee on Public Purchase today approved a proposal to purchase two fresh Mi-171A2 helicopters worth Tk428 crore from Russia for the police.
The helicopters would be procured from JSC Russian Helicopters on G2G basis.
Additional cabinet secretary Md Shamsul Arefin made the disclosure in a briefing after a meeting of the committee.
Earlier on 6 October, the Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs (CCEA) approved the purchase proposal.
