People to rebound in life’s struggle by strength of sacrifice: Quader

Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader on Saturday expressed his optimism that strength of sacrifice in the holy Eid-ul-Azha will be the firm determination to turn around in people's struggle of life.

"Expectation on this holy Eid-ul-Azha is that the strength of sacrifice becomes the firm determination to turnaround in struggle of life of people," he told a virtual press conference from his official residence on the premises of Parliament.

Greeting the people on the occasion of Eid, Quader, also road transport and bridges minister, said Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's government has been making all-out strides to put a smile on people's face.

Seeking prayer for the premier for her sound health, he said "I am seeking doa from the people for Bangabandhu's daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina as she possesses a sound health to lead the country towards prosperity."

The minister urged the people who are in their village homes or in cities to celebrate the Eid-ul-Azha, to remain cautious at highest level in maintaining health guidelines strictly to check the transmission of the deadly coronavirus (Covid-19).

He recalled with glowing tributes the frontline fighters who passed away in providing services to people and extended gratitude to those who are still staying far away from their families to serve the people round the clock taking their services as motto.

The road transport minister also expressed sorrow for those home goers who had to fall into sufferings on Dhaka-Tangail highways.
