Online exhibition starts today to celebrate SM Sultan’s 98th birthday

An international online art exhibition has been organised to celebrate the 98th birthday of the world-renowned artist SM Sultan.
Starting from August 10, the exhibition will continue till September 10, says a press release issued by smsultan.org.
Tarak Gorai, a renowned Indian veteran sculptor-painter, will inaugurate the programme.
A total of 605 artists from 13 countries will precipitate in the exhibition. In addition, 17 artists from home and abroad will showcase their works through virtual platforms.
Teachers, doctors, journalists, police officials, writers and researchers from different universities including eight artists will participate in the discussion session marking SM Sultan's birthday.
Sheikh Mohammed Sultan known as S M Sultan was born in Narail District on 10 August 1923. For his achievement in fine arts he was awarded Ekushey Padak in 1982 and the Shadhinata Padak in 1993.
