TBS reporter Sukanto Haldar’s father dies at 61

Sri Radheshyam Haldar, father of Sukanto Haldar, staff reporter at The Business Standard, passed away on Thursday at the age of 61. 

He breathed his last at around 1.30 pm.

According to family members, Radheshyam Haldar had been suffering from diabetes, heart and kidney complications for a long time. He was residing in his home after receiving treatment at hospital.

His last rites were carried out at Postogola crematorium on Thursday night.

He is survived by his wife and two sons along with numerous admirers.

The Business Standard family mourns the death of Sukanto's father. His colleagues have conveyed profound sympathy to the bereaved family.

Sukanto, the eldest son of Radheshyam Haldar, graduated from Dhaka University with a degree in Persian language and literature, and started his career in journalism. Sukanto's younger brother Tipu Haldar is the fourth year student at Adamjee Cantonment College.
