Novelist Rabeya Khatun passes away

Eminent Novelist Rabeya Khatun died on Sunday afternoon at the age of 86.
She was suffering from various health complications.
Rabeya Khatun was awarded numerous prizes and honors including Swadhinata Puraskar, Ekushey Padak and Bangla Academy for her writing, reports Channel I.

Rabeya Khatun enriched Bangla literature through her writings. She was successful in all branches of Bangla literature.
She was born in Bikrampur in 1935.
Rabia Khatun's works include novels, short stories, novels for teenagers. Her popular novels include 'Megher Pore Megh, Madhumati and Kokhono Megh Kokhono Brishti.
Alongside her writing career, she was also involved in teaching and journalism.
