Mercantile Bank MD’s wife passes away

Sabrina Islam Chowdhury, the wife of Managing Director and CEO of Mercantile Bank Limited Md Quamrul Islam Chowdhury, passed away at the age of 61, on Tuesday, at 7:10am.

She had been brought to United Hospital, Gulshan when her health condition deteriorated. After a medical examination, the doctor declared her dead.

She has left behind her husband, her daughter and son-in-law as well as many relatives and well-wishers. The namaje janaja of Sabrina Islam Chowdhury was held in Gulshan Central Mosque (Azad Mosque), after Asar prayer, and she was buried in the capital's Azimpur Graveyard.

The chairman, board of directors, and all executives, officers and employees of Mercantile Bank expressed their deep mourning for her early demise and shared their heartfelt condolences with the bereaved family.
