Former Janata Bank DGM Rokeya Sultana passes away

Former Janata Bank deputy general manager Rokeya Sultana died at Green Life Hospital in Dhaka while undergoing Covid-19 treatment at the hospital.

She breathed her last on Thursday noon, said Md Abdul Aziz, husband of Okaya Sultana and former managing director of Titas Gas Transmission and Distribution Company Limited.

Abdul Aziz told The Business Standard that they both (husband and wife) were undergoing treatment at the hospital since 30 March after they got infected with the virus.

Later, he recovered from the virus and was released from the hospital three days ago but her wife was shifted to the intensive care unit because her health condition deteriorated, Abdul Aziz added.

Rokeya Sultana left behind her husband, two daughters and a host of well-wishers.
