Former chief info commissioner’s wife dies
Naim Ara Hossain, wife of the former chief information commissioner and Professor Golam Rahman, died early this morning.
"She breathed her last at 5:40am on Tuesday while undergoing treatment at the intensive care unit of Bangladesh Specialised Hospital," confirmed Golam Rahman through his Facebook account.
Earlier on June 5, Professor Golam Rahman told The Business standard that four members of his family including him were tested positive for the novel coronavirus. His wife was tested positive for the virus on May 29.
Later, all of them including Naim Ara Hossain recovered from the virus. However, she was suffering from various old age complications including pneumonia and diabetes, reports Somoy TV.
Golam Rahman is the former professor of the Mass Communication and Journalism department of Dhaka University.
