Former Chandpur MP MA Matin dies
MA Matin was elected as MP from Chandpur-5 constituency for four times and was a member of central executive committee of BNP
Former Member of the Parliament (MP) from Chandpur-5 (Hajiganj-Shahrasti) constituency MA Matin died this morning at a hospital in Dhak.
Jahangir Alam Mintu, office coordinator of Jatiya Oikkofront, confirmed the death of 90-year-old leader of Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP).
MA Matin breathed his last at around 9am while undergoing treatment at the Uttara Radical Hospital.
Earlier this week he had a brain stroke and was admitted to the CCU of the hospital. "He was tested negative for coronavirus infection," Jahangir Alam added.
MA Matin was elected as MP from Chandpur-5 constituency for four times and was a member of central executive committee of BNP.
Matin left behind his only son, four daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
He will be laid to rest at Toragarh Munshibari in Hajigonj at the family graveyard after his namaj-e-Janaza.
