Ex Labor Ministry Assistant Director passes away
Former assistant director of the Labor Ministry, Sadeka Akhter, recently passed away due to Covid-19 at the age of 75.
She breathed her last on 1 April at the Combined Military Hospital.
Sadeka was admitted to the hospital on 21 March after being tested positive for novel coronavirus.
Prior to joining the Ministry of Labor, she served at various educational institutions as a teacher including Siddheshari Girls' High School in the capital.
She left behind her husband, three sons, two daughters and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn her death.
Her husband is Abdul Malek, a former Chief Scientific Officer at the River Research Institute.
