Female lawyer severely injured as bike hits her in Dhaka

A woman sustained severe injuries in a road accident in Dhaka on Saturday night.
A motorcycle hit her while she was crossing the road at Asadgate area around 8:40pm with her daughter.
The injured were identified as High Court lawyer Khadiza Yesmin, 48. They were returning to their residence at Bashundhara Residential area from chess class at Dhanmandi.
"A motorcycle rammed the mother in front of Asadgate Aarong outlet while they were dashing towards a BRTC bus," said witnesses. Pedestrians rushed the woman to the Ibne Sina Hospital after rescuing.
Duty doctors said Khadiza's head injury was critical. "Her skull has been cracked and the brain might have been damaged. We need further diagnosis," said Dr Modasser Hossain.
Khadiza's husband was on the way to the hospital while this report was filing up at 10pm.
