Misbaul Ferdous receives Belt and Road Friendship Award
Dr Misbaul Ferdous was born in Chattogram, Bangladesh. He graduated from Shandong University in China and currently works at Fuwai Hospital in Beijing

Dr Misbaul Ferdous, a Bangladeshi doctor working at Fuwai Hospital in Beijing, received the "Belt and Road Friendship Award 2020 for extending helping hands during the coronavirus epidemic in China.
The award was presented to Dr Misbaul at a conference titled "China Cardiovascular Health - 2020" organised jointly by the Chinese Cardiovascular Association, China Heart House, and Shinshin Heart (SIP) Foundation at the National Conference Center in Beijing on Friday evening.
Earlier this year, the coronavirus epidemic spread to China and there was a medical equipment crisis across the country. Dr Misbaul was then stationed in Saudi Arabia. At that time, he returned to Beijing collecting masks from various medical stores in Saudi Arabia by his own funds. He later distributed those masks in Covid-hit China provinces. He also extended a helping hand to hospitals dealing with the coronavirus in emergencies.
Dr Misbaul Ferdous said, "I dedicate this award to all my Cardiologist Friends, especially Bangladeshi doctors. I firmly believe that Bangladesh-China relations will further improve in the years to come.
Dr Misbaul Ferdous was born in Chattogram, Bangladesh. He graduated from Shandong University in China. He is currently working at Fuwai Hospital in Beijing.
Moreover, Dr Misbaul is the vice-president of the Asian Society of Cardiology (ASC). He has also been appointed vice chairman of the Asia Pacific Primary Health Association (APPHA) for the next 6 years.
