An employee was injured in a tiger attack at Gazipur's Safari Park on Sunday morning.

The victim, Majnu Mia, an outsourcing employee at the park, sustained injuries in his arms, according to park authorities.

Panic gripped the area after the tiger attacked the employee inside an enclosure in the morning.

Officer-in-Charge of Safari Park, Tabibur Rahman said, "Tigers roam around the core safari area. There were several tigers in the enclosure. While working, Majnu suddenly came in front of a tiger, which attacked him, leaving him injured."

After the incident, other employees of the park rescued Majnu and took him to hospital.

Golam Mehedi Hasan, a doctor on duty at Alhera Hospital, said Majnu had a wound under his armpit. His left arm shoulder got displaced."

He has been sent to Dhaka Medical College Hospital for further treatment, the doctor added.
