A stone-laden lighter vessel sank at Chittagong port outer anchorage on Friday.
The Coastguard successfully rescued all five sailors on board.
The vessel 'MV-Pinky' was carrying stones for the Bhasan Char project construction.

Primarily it was assumed that the small vessel sank due to a leak in the floor, Abdur Rauf, commander of the Coast Guard East Zone, told The Business Standard.
He noted that the accident took place 2 nautical miles away from Patenga Lighthouse.
