Legal aid day to be observed with zeal in Mujib Year

National Legal Aid Services Organization (NLASO) has decided to observe National Legal Aid Services Day with due fervor in the forthcoming Mujib Year.

Signed by its assistant director (administration) Qazi Yasin Habib, a NLASO release said the government would observe March 17, 2020 to March 17, 2021 as Mujib Year across the country to mark the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

"Different ministries have taken initiative to observe different programmes marking the Mujib Year. Law and Justice Division too would arrange different programmes across the country. NLASO will observe National Legal Aid Services Day on April 28 with due fervour marking the Mujib Year," the release said.

A befitting slogan would also be fixed like each year and NLASO has already asked all its offices to send appropriate slogans to its headquarters by tomorrow.

National Legal Aid Services Day is observed every year since 2013 across the country in order to make the people aware of the government providing legal assistance to the poor, insolvent and destitute justice-seekers.
