RAB Commander Lieutenant Colonel Khandaker Saiful Alam confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

RAB arrests one more accused of assault on Noakhali woman

Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested one more accused of stripping and physically abusing a Noakhali woman from Daudkandi of Cumilla on Wednesday morning.

The arrestee is Kamal.

RAB Commander Lieutenant Colonel Khandaker Saiful Alam confirmed the matter to The Business Standard.

On Sunday, 32 days after the incident, a video of the housewife being tortured was published on social media Facebook and it went viral.

Since the incident, the accused Delwar, Badal, Kalam and their associates have been confining the family of the abused housewife for a few days. At one stage, her entire family was forced to leave their home, the whole incident remained hidden from the locals and the police administration for a long time.

When the incident came to light, the police and RAB conducted several raids and arrested eight people, including the main accused.
