Security has been tightened around the Puja mandaps and temples across Dhaka to prevent unpleasant incidents during the Durga Puja, according to police officials.
"Police patrols have increased around Puja mandaps and temples. There is no likelihood of any untoward incidents during Puja," said Shafiqul Islam, Commissioner of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP).
