Bangladesh's Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud has condemned Israeli brutality on the Palestinians.

In the tweet, the minister wrote, "Israeli brutality on the Palestinian people during Ramadan even on the Eid day and after has crossed all the barbarism of the past. Still silence of the world leaders (of big countries) is really painful. Is Israel above all international law???"

Earlier, on the day of Eid-ul-Fitre, after the Eid congregation at the National Baitul Mukarram Mosque, the minister, while exchanging views with journalists, condemned the Israeli attack on Muslims in Palestine and offered prayer for peace in Palestine.

According to Reuters reports, the Israeli airstrike, which began on 10 May, has so far killed 153 Palestinians, including 42 children, and destroyed scores of homes in Gaza.

Bangladesh has been supporting the establishment of an independent sovereign Palestine free from Israeli aggression.
