As the seventh governor of Bangladesh Bank, Dr Farashuddin had a decisive responsibility to determine the economic policies of the country

The sixth episode of IPDC OGROJ was held recently by IPDC Finance, the episode, which was aired live on IPDC's official Facebook page, presented the narratives of a protagonist who has played an instrumental role in developing Bangladesh's economy.

Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank, eminent economist, teacher, and writer Dr Mohammed Farashuddin was present as a guest in the latest episode of the show hosted by Anis A Khan.

Host Anis A Khan has been seen steering an in-depth conversation with guest, Dr Mohammed Farashuddin, who narrated the remarkable initiatives and experiences from his career at different stages of his life.

Born in Habiganj, Dr Mohammed Farashuddin has made unprecedented contributions to the economy and social welfare in the post-independent era. With a humble beginning in his career as an educator in the sixties, he was later appointed as the private secretary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, said a press release.

As the seventh governor of Bangladesh Bank, Dr Farashuddin had a decisive responsibility to determine the economic policies of the country. By eliciting several international development partners and social service organization, Dr Farashuddin has been recognized internationally and domestically for his role in the welfare of the country

He has not only played a significant role in the field of education through the establishment of East West University and disseminating knowledge across several other universities but also left an everlasting mark by publishing a few books in his name, the press release added.

IPDC Finance Limited Managing Director and CEO Mominul Islam said: "Through OGROJ, IPDC intends to initiate a digital memoir on the narratives of these protagonists from post-independent Bangladesh. IPDC takes immense pride in associating itself with key personalities like Dr Farashuddin whose contributions to nation-building deserves every bit of recognition. We look forward to creating a dialogue about his accounts and inspiring the audience."

OGROJ is a webinar series broadcasted live from the official IPDC Facebook page, every first and third Thursday of the month. The episodes ruminate both professional and personal peaks and valleys of the guests' lives, with renowned host, Anis A Khan, a well-known banker who retired recently after serving the industry for nearly four decades.

Distinctive icons from diverse sectors such as Finance, Economics, Business, Art, Culture, Education, and Media are seen flipping through the pages of their lives on the show. The live show's recorded versions will be available on the IPDC Facebook Page and IPDC Official YouTube channel.
