Indian High Commissioner calls on PM Hasina
Prime Minister thanked the outgoing HC for her contribution to strengthening India-Bangladesh relations
Indian High Commissioner Riva Ganguly Das today, in a farewell call on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, reiterated the importance of Bangladesh in the 'Neighborhood First' policy of India.
She handed over a letter from Indian PM Narendra Modi to Sheikh Hasina greeting her on her birth anniversary and also presented a bouquet on his behalf at Ganobhaban.
During the meeting, Riva Ganguly recounted the progress made in the bilateral relations under the visionary leadership of Narendra Modi and Sheikh Hasina Hasina, read a press release.
On this occasion, the HC presented a collection of rare footage of the visit of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman to India in 1972 to the PM Sheikh Hasina.
Prime Minister thanked the outgoing HC for her contribution to strengthening India-Bangladesh relations.
She also wished her the best for her next posting in the Ministry of External Affairs as Secretary (East).
