‘India assured Bangladesh of all-out help in Rohingya repatriation’

The Indian government has given an assurance that it will help Bangladesh in every possible way in the Rohingya repatriation process to ensure their return to Myanmar, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said today.
He was addressing a press briefing at the international checkpoint in the Akhaura area of Brahmanbaria after returning from Agartala in the morning.
The minister had a talk with the state government of Tripura on preserving the memory of the liberation war.
He said they would prepare a list of razakars, and the issue would be discussed in parliament.
“The primary list will be completed by March next year. If we preserve the memory of the liberation war, our next generation will learn about it,” said Mozammel.
“The people of Tripura had a great contribution to the liberation war of Bangladesh.”
Among others, Akhaura Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Tahmina Akhter Reina, Senior Assistant Superintendent of Police (Kasba circle) Abdul Karim were present at the briefing.
On Friday, the minister went to Tripura to attend a joint meeting by the state government of Tripura and Muktijuddho Academy Trust.
