Hygiene practices are the key measures to curb the spread of the coronavirus and Bangladesh too is now contending with adverse effects of this global pandemic.

In the crucial time of the Covid-19, the Marico Bangladesh has launched the Mediker SafeLife hand sanitizer and hand-wash, said a press release on Thursday.

With the launch of Mediker SafeLife, Marico is bringing Mediker's international expertise in care and protection to Bangladesh.

From corporate social responsibility, Marico has also decided to sell its newly launched products with discounted prices. Besides, if it could make any profit from the sales of these products in the next six months, it would donate that amount to the Prime Minister's relief fund to fight the deadly virus.

Ashish Goupal, managing director of the company said, "Marico believes in a nation first approach and that's why for supporting the government's efforts during this crisis, we are launching our international range of Mediker Safelife health and hygiene products in Bangladesh on a no-profit basis for a period of six months."
