In the spirit of the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh’s independence, 50 patients currently being diagnosed with kidney diseases are set to be benefitted with the affordable healthcare services.

Gonoshasthaya Kendra gets free dialysis accessories from Medtronic

Medtronic Bangladesh Pvt Ltd has donated kidney dialysis accessories to Gonoshasthaya Kendra for its kidney dialysis center "Gonoshasthaya Dialysis Centre (GDC)." 

The event held on 24 March 2021 at Gonoshasthaya Kendra in Dhanmondi, Farrukh Alam, country director, Medtronic Bangladesh, handed-off the accessories for 50 patients' free dialysis to Prof. Brig Gen Mamun Mostafi (Rtd.), head of nephrology, Gonoshasthaya Kendra, reads a press release.

In the spirit of the 50th anniversary of Bangladesh's independence, 50 patients currently being diagnosed with kidney diseases are set to be benefitted with the affordable healthcare services. 

Speaking at the handover ceremony, Farrukh Alam, Country Director, Medtronic Bangladesh stated, "Following all the international standards, Gonoshasthaya Dialysis Centre has been providing low-cost and quality healthcare services to the patients in the country. We, at Medtronic Bangladesh, feel honored to have the opportunity to stand beside GDC and support kidney patients in their treatment. We believe in improving people's quality of life; on that note, our joint effort, certainly, will help more people to get kidney treatment."

Among others, Debojyoti Banerjee, National Sales Manager, Tuhinoor Sultana, Marketing Communications Specialist from Medtronic Bangladesh and Md. Liaquate Ali, Deputy Director from Gonoshasthaya Samajvittik Medical College, was present at the occasion.

"Gonoshasthaya Dialysis Centre," is the first institute in Bangladesh for dedicated kidney disease treatment. Currently, they operate in Dhaka and recently started the Savar operations with a capacity of 25 units, with an average of 300 patients being dialyzed every day.
