Discussion on scopes and challenges of health-tech in Bangladesh held
A programme titled “Health-Tech in Bangladesh: Scopes & Challenges” was arranged at the sideline of BASIS SoftExpo 2020
Experts at a discussion programme in Dhaka have made some suggestions about overcoming the challenges that are hindering adoption of technology in Bangladesh's healthcare sector.
They gave their opinions at a programme titled "Health-Tech in Bangladesh: Scopes & Challenges," which was arranged by GD Assist Ltd, one of the subsidiaries of Green Delta Insurance Company, at the sideline of BASIS SoftExpo 2020 at the International Convention City Bashundhara (ICCB) on Sunday.
Speakers at the programme discussed the usage of technology in healthcare in Bangladeshi context and gave some suggestions for policy makers and government regarding ways of overcoming the challenges, said a press release.
Prof Abhijit K Chattoraj, chairperson of Programme for Insurance Business Management of BIMTECH, India, delivered the keynote speech prior to the beginning of panel discussion.
Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Telenor Health Sajid Rahman, Managing Director (MD) and CEO of Green Delta Insurance Company Farzanah Chowdhury, Founder and MD of Pulse Healthcare Services Rubaba Dowla Matin, and MD and CEO of Praava Health Sylvana Quader Sinha took part in the panel discussion.
The panelists tried to explore the scopes of technology usage in healthcare industry and identify the prevailing challenges that hinders the adoption of technology in healthcare sector.
