The High Court ordered the Ministry of Public Administration on Wednesday to investigate the death of student Titas Ghosh and submit a report within October 23.

The bench of Justice FRM Nazmul Ahsan and Justice KM Kamrul Kader passed the order.

Titas Ghosh, 13, a student of Kalia Pilot Secondary School in Narail, died while waiting inside an ambulance for a ferry at Madaripur Kathalbari terminal.

He had been critically injured in a motorbike accident in Narail on Wednesday. He was initially admitted to a hospital in Khulna.

Titas was advised for emergency surgery at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. An ambulance carrying him reached the Kathalbari Ferry Terminal in Munshiganj on Thursday.

The boy died in the ambulance as the ferry waited for three hours for a VIP to arrive and avail the ferry.
