The government plans to digitalise the process of educational service delivery.
The government aims to increase the quality of education with an emphasis on eliminating corruption from the sector.
“We have to ensure high standards of education for the teachers and then we can expect the same from them,” said Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni at the opening ceremony of Education Service Week 2019 on Monday.
The government plans to digitalise the process of educational service delivery, she said.
“Educational services should be delivered online as soon as possible to reduce the sufferings of the teachers in remote areas,” the minister added.
“Apart from corruption that involves financial scams, delay in service delivery is a crime too,” she said.
The programme was organised by the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education at the Shikkha Bhaban.
The Education Service Week is being observed with the slogan “Quality education is our commitment”.
Professor Dr Syed Md Golam Faruk, director-general of the Directorate of Secondary and Higher Education, presided over the programme.
