FBCCI holds meeting commemorating National Mourning Day
In his speech at the meeting, the foreign minister described Bangabandu’s visionary programs and welfare activities for the common people.
The FBCCI held a discussion meeting on Saturday in memory of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman on the occasion of National Mourning Day.
Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen was present as the chief guest at the meeting, which was held at the Federation of Bangladesh Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FBCCI) Conference Centre.
In his speech at the meeting, the foreign minister described Bangabandu’s visionary programs and welfare activities for the common people.
He also mentioned the recent socio-economic advancements of Bangladesh under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. To achieve the desired goal, the minister emphasized on skill development of citizens, along with the need for public and private effort for social welfare.
Mr Salman F Rahman, adviser to the prime minister, attended the meeting as special guest, while FBCCI President Sheikh Fazle Fahim chaired the discussion. Former presidents of FBCCI Mr M A Kashem, Mr Mahbubur Rahman, Kazi Akram Uddin Ahmed, Mir Nasir Hossain and Mr A K Azad were present as Panel discussants.
FBCCI vice presidents, directors, and a large number of general body members of FBCCI were also present at the meeting.
FBCCI Vice President Mr Md Rezaul Karim Reznu conducted the program, which was attended by leading business-people of different sectors of the country.
