Ex-home minister Kamal left country illegally: Police
The former home minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal has left the country illegally, said the head of the special branch (SB) of police Additional Inspector General Md Shah Alam.
While speaking to media today (2 October), he said, "I saw the news that several people including the former home minister were seen in a park in Kolkata. The immigration police do not have information on how they got there.
"Since the immigration police has no information about him, he must have taken an illegal route. [To leave the country] you can walk, you can go by car, you can cross the border illegally by land," he added
A privately owned television channel published the news yesterday. It is said that several people, including the former home minister, were seen in an Eco Park in Kolkata.
