WUB Hult Prize 2021 semifinal held online
Five teams made it to the grand finale among 10

World University of Bangladesh has held the semifinal round of Hult Prize 2021 online amid the novel coronavirus pandemic.
Five teams made it to the grand finale among 10 on Friday (27 November).
The jury board comprised textile engineering department Chairman Md Mostafizur Rahman, global finalist of Hult Prize 2016 Mohammad Saad, and founder and CEO of Turtle Venture Saraban Tahura Turin.
Due to the current pandemic, the event was held on Google Meet. It started with a welcome speech by Md Shariful Alam, head of events and session of Hult Prize at the university.
Ten teams pitched their business ideas in front of the high-profile adjudicators.
The adjudicators then had the difficult task of evaluating all the teams. As they deliberated, keynote speaker Tasina Reema Jareen, campus director of Hult Prize at the university, appreciated them in an inspiring, positive speech.
Right after the speech, anticipation reached its peak when the adjudicators revealed the top five finalists – Team Visionary, Green Valley, Nutrimen Wheeler, Vegan Era and Renascent.
