UIU, CBLU conducts Online FDP
It guided participants to plan their teaching pedagogy and curriculum to bridge the industry-academia gap
United International University (UIU), Bangladesh, and Chaudhary Bansi Lal University (CBLU) Bhiwani, India jointly organized One Week Online Faculty Development Program (FDP) on "Skill Set in Turbulent Times: Industry Experiences & Challenges".
The main purpose of this program was to allow the academic leaders to rethink their teaching methods and contents, with a more focused approach to industry requirements in the current context of Covid-19.
The entire 5-days FDP from April 27 to May 1 was conducted online using Zoom and around 160 faculty members from Bangladesh and India have participated in this FDP.
The Chief Patrons – Prof Dr ChowdhuryMofizurRahman, Vice-Chancellor of UIU and Prof Raj Kumar Mittal, Vice-Chancellor of CBLU, India inaugurated the faculty development program on April 27.
The session ended with a vote of thanks by Prof SunitaBharatwal, Chairperson, Department of Management, CBLU.
Prof Abul H Azam, Dean, School of Business and Economics of UIU participated and delivered his closing remarks.
The sessions covered topic such as Online Teaching-learning: Online Work Opportunities, Business Strategies during Disasters, Employee Appraisals during Pandemic, Corporate Social Responsibility during COVID-19 and many others.
At the end of the program, it guided participants to plan their teaching pedagogy and curriculum to bridge the industry-academia gap in a more efficient way.
