Two Japanese specialists appointed at Marine City Medical College
The team will be led by the well-known educator, academic, former Principal of Chittagong Medical College, Professor Dr. Selim Mohammad Jhangir, from June 2021
Marine City Medical College has appointed Dr. Tomoyuki Nakanishi and Nick Barua Ph.D., an international visiting associate professor, and international advisor co-ordinator, respectively, to provide students with the quality education that meets the needs of a diverse and global society.
The team will be led by the well-known educator, academic, former Principal of Chittagong Medical College, Professor Dr. Selim Mohammad Jhangir, from June 2021.
The team will lead the international collaboration between Marine City Medical College and Japan in the following programs;
1. Fellowship
2. Exchanges of researchers
3. Establishing an ICU specialist department
4. The academic exchange program
5. Train the Trainer program
Dr. Nakanishi is one of the well-known Intensive care specialists in Japan with experience of over 20 years in the field. Dr. Nakanishi will lead the ICU specialist department in the college hospital to establish the first Japan standard ICU facility in the country. Dr. Nakanishi had met Professor Dr. Selim Mohammad Jhangir in 2019 in Bangladesh and showed his humble interest in working for Bangladesh.
Dr. Nakanishi is also the founder and CEO of T-ICU Co. Ltd., the only Japanese company with a team of Intensive Care Specialists that provides medical support to doctors remotely, especially for the Intensive Care Unit.
Nick Barua, Ph.D. is an experienced Business executive with a demonstrated history of working in the executive office industry residing in Japan, will act as an advisor to provide service excellence through courteous, informed, accessible, and professional engagement and a liaison between study abroad faculty leaders and third party providers.
