DU Home Economics unit admission test on 27 August

The admission test of Home Economics unit under Dhaka University for 2020-2021 academic session will be held on 27 August at 10 am.
The one-hour test will contain 100-mark multiple choice questions (MCQs) where the pass mark will be 40. Only female students can apply for admission in the unit, read a notification on Wednesday.
The decision came following a meeting of the DU central committee – presided over by the university's Vice-chancellor Prof Akhtaruzzaman at Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Building on Tuesday.
DU Pro-Vice Chancellor (administration) Prof Dr Muhammad Samad; Pro Vice-Chancellor (education) Prof Dr ASM Maksud Kamal; Dean of the Faculty of Biological Sciences and Coordinator of Home Economics Unit Professor Dr Md Imdadul Hoque; and online admission committee Convener Professor Dr Mustafizur Rahman, among others, took part in the meeting.
The application process will begin on 15 June and continue till 31 July.
Students who passed their SSC or its equivalent exams from 2015 to 2018 and passed HSC or its equivalent exams in 2020 can apply for admission test in the unit.
The application fee has been fixed at Tk650.
A student must have at least GPA 5.5 combining their scores, including fourth subjects, in secondary and higher secondary or equivalent examinations. However, if one's GPA is less than 2.5 in either of the two exams, one won't qualify to apply for the test.
