The authorities of Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (Buet) have sealed off Chhatra League President Jamius Sunny's No 321 room at Ahsanullah Hall.
They also sealed off Buet Chhatra League Secretary Mehedi Hasan Rusel's No 3012 room at Sher-E-Bangla Hall.
Both of the rooms were locked down on Saturday afternoon hours after the university authorities issued some notices on curbing ragging, tortures and illegally occupied seats.
The university authorities took the decision in the face of massive protest demanding justice for Buet student Abrar Fahad, who was mercilessly beaten to death allegedly by a group of Chhatra League activists last week.
The incident triggered countrywide protest forcing Buet authorities to meet the demands of the protesters.
Buet yesterday banned politics of teachers and students on the university campus, in keeping with the demands from protesting students.
Buet Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr Saiful Islam also suspended 19 students, who have been accused in the Abrar murder case.
