Bangladesh Betar will broadcast lessons for primary school students from August 12 along with Sangsad Bangladesh Television.

The Ministry of Primary and Mass Education has taken the step to broadcast the programme "Ghore Bose Shikhi" to ensure that students can continue academic activities amid the Covid-19 outbreak.

State Minister for Primary and Mass Education Md Zakir Hossen will inaugurate the programme, reads a press release.

Bangladesh Betar and 16 community radios will air the lessons at 4:05pm from Sunday to Thursday every week.

All educational institutions across the country remained closed since March 17 to curb Covid-19, and the government extended the shutdown to August 31.
