Army Chief obtains PhD degree
General Aziz was a PhD student at BUP during the 2017-2018 academic year
Chief of Army Staff, General Aziz Ahmed, SBP, BSP, BGBM, PBGM, BGBMS, psc, G, has obtained his PhD degree.
General Ahmed did his PhD on "Border Management Challenges of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB): Issues in Transnational Threat."
The PhD was approved on Sunday at the Academic Council and Syndicate meeting of Bangladesh University of Professionals (BUP), according to BUP sources.
The Chief of Army Staff's PhD was supervised by Vice-Chancellor at Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur, Professor Dr Nazmul Ahsan Kalimullah.
Vice-Chancellor at Kanyashree University, Krishnanagar in West Bengal, Professor Mita Banerjee was the external examiner.
Panel members were Pro-Vice-Chancellor at BUP, Professor MA Kashem; Professor at Jahangirnagar University, Dr Mujahidul Islam; and Professor, Department of International Relations at the University of Dhaka, Dr Rashed Uz Zaman.
General Aziz was a PhD student at BUP during the 2017-2018 academic year.
