Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan on Sunday said the ongoing drive is not only against casinos but also against all lawbreakers.

"We've to establish good governance and sustain the country's positive position achieved under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Whoever be the wrongdoer, no matter whether he or she is public a representative or a government officer, will face action," he said.

The minister came up with the remarks while talking to reporters after attending a programme at Ansar VDP Academy in Shafipur.

Asked about online casino business, Asaduzzaman, said, "I've heard about it from you (journalists) for the first time. We'll investigate …if you've any information please share with us and we'll check it out."

Referring to the ongoing drive, the minister said legal action is being taken against those involved in illegal business. Action is being taken after identifying those."

Senior Secretary to the Home Ministry Mostafa Kamal Uddin, Director General of Ansar and VDP Major General Kazi Sharif Kaikobad, and Additional Director General AKM Asif Iqbal were present.
