Youth’s decomposed body found near Dinajpur border
After a flag meeting between BGB and BSF, police sent the body to Dinajpur Abdur Rahim Medical College for autopsy.
Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered a decomposed body of a young man along the Bangladesh-India border fence in Birol upazila of Dinajpur.
The deceased, Jahangir Alam, son of Kabir Uddin, went missing from Kauliapara of Birol upazila 10 days ago.
Being informed by locals, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) went to the spot and found a body lying beside the barbed wire near pillar no 321 and then informed police.
After a flag meeting between BGB and Border Security Force (BSF) of India, police sent the decapitated and decomposed body to Dinajpur Abdur Rahim Medical College for autopsy after preparing an inquest report.
Towhidul Islam, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Jagatpur Police Investigation centre, said, "The body will be handed over to the family after the autopsy."
A case will be filed over the incident, Sheikh Nasim Habib, OC of Birol Police Station said.
