Dhaka Newspaper Hawkers’ Multipurpose Cooperative Society gets new committee

Dhaka Newspaper Hawkers' Multipurpose Cooperative Society Limited on Wednesday announced their new committee with Mohammad Abdul Mannan as president.

ABM Belal Hossain Khan and Md Jahangir Alam were elected vice president and general secretary of the association respectively.

The members of the association, at a special general meeting held at its office on Wednesday, elected their new office bearers, said a press release. 

Md Joinal Abedin, the chief election commissioner for the polls, announced the 12 member committee of the association after a discussion held at its office in the capital city.

Md Shah Alam Patwary, AKM Monir Hossain Bhuiyan, Jainal Abedin, Md Nurul Islam, Md Delwar Hossain Talukder, Md Hafizur Rahman, Nurer Jaman, Md Sirajul Haque and Md Abu Hanif were elected directors of the new committee of the association.

Speakers at the meeting greeted the newly-elected committee and called for unity to save the newspaper industry.
