Death toll rises to 5 in Narayanganj gas explosion
The incident took place on February 17 when a gas explosion in Siddhirganj of Narayanganj left one dead on spot and seven of a family injured.
Two more victims, who suffered burn injuries in a gas explosion at a house in Narayanganj on February 17, died at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH), raising the death toll to five.
The deceased Apon aged 12, and Hiron aged 35 succumbed to their injuries on Monday night and Tuesday morning respectively, said Inspector Bachchu Miah, in-charge of DMCH police camp.

The family used to live on the ground floor of the five-storey building, said Abdullah Al Arefin, deputy director of Narayanganj Fire Service and Civil Defence.
Officials suspect that they may not have switched off the gas stove before going to bed.
